Restorative Ground Counseling
I am currently a private-pay, out-of-network provider. While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. No more dealing with insurance or superbills anymore!
Here's how it works:
1. Create your Thrizer account, enter your payment and insurance information
2. Thrizer will automatically check to see what your out of network benefits are (how much your insurance will pay for the sessions, what you will ow and if you have a deductible and if you have met it or not).
3. If you have out of network benefits, you then have three options for how you'd like to pay for therapy.
a. You can pay the full session fee up front and Thrizer will submit the superbill for you, and work with your insurance company while you would wait for your reimbursement- Thrizer charges 1% of my session fee for this service ($1.50).
b. You only pay your copay at the time of sessions. Thrizer than floats the cost of the rest of your fee, and they wait to be reimbursed by the insurance company. Thrizer charges 5% of my session fee for this service ($7.50). There would be no back charges for you, and if Thrizer's estimate of your copay is off, they will not charge you for this difference and will recalculate your estimate.
c. You may submit your own superbills to your insurance company for no fee. However, if there are issues with the claim you may be dealing directly with the insurance company.

Remember, this is the cost only if you don't have out of network benefits or don't want to use those benefits.

Individual Session Fee: $150
Group Therapy Session Fee: $40
I offer a sliding scale rate as well, based on availability of sliding scale slots and your financial needs.

Good Faith Estimate Information

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
